Summary

On July 22, 1955, in Aberdeen, Washington, a witness reported one balloon-shaped object. The Air Force recorded the report under Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports.

The object looked about the size of a medicine ball. It appeared to bob and float toward the south.

The Air Force noted the description matched a balloon. Many balloon launch sites were in the area, especially to the north. Officials concluded the sighting was, in all probability, a balloon.
