Summary

On May 1, 1959, personnel aboard USS Newell observed three flaming meteors from a position approximately 25-12 north, 163-50 west. The objects fell ahead of the ship from an elevation of 40 to about 12 degrees. The observation lasted several minutes. All three objects fell into the sea ahead of the vessel. The brief summary on the record card states that an object flying across the sky in observation of 10 to about 10 degrees was recorded. The Air Force evaluation is not clearly stated on these pages.
