Summary

On July 10, 1959, at about 0335Z, an observer in the control tower at Webb Air Force Base, Texas, reported an object in the sky. The sighting was reported through the Air Force's unidentified flying object record system.

The witness described an oblong object, about twice as long as it was wide, with a yellowish light. The location and description were noted on the report.

The record card noted an astronomical chart showed Venus in a position that matched the object, and the description of the object corresponded to that.
