On May 27, 1960, an object was reported in the sky near Midway Island. The card lists one object.

The object was sighted about 10 miles from Midway, bearing between about 300 and 330 degrees. It appeared to be a large green flare at an altitude of about 20,000 feet. It was visible for a short time.

This report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force requested more information on June 2, 1960, but as of January 16, 1961, the requested information had not been received.
