Summary

On April 1, 1960, in the vicinity of the Hawaiian Islands, a military pilot and copilot sighted an object similar to a shooting star, only much brighter and bigger than usual. The object gave off bluish white light with a tail three times greater than the object's diameter. The object was observed to disintegrate after a flight of about two seconds. The sighting lasted approximately two seconds. The Air Force evaluation was meteorite.
