Summary
On April 2, 1952, at 2045 (8:45 p.m.) local time, Air Force personnel near Temple, Texas, reported a large fireball. It was seen for about 10 to 40 seconds. The object was green with a red and yellow tail and shaped like a sphere with a tail. It moved in a straight and level path.
The object was reported to drop two or three smaller balls that burned out. It was also seen from nearby Evant and Stephenville. The Air Force evaluated the case as probably astronomical, a meteor.
