Summary
On December 25, 1957, a civilian in South Pass, Louisiana reported seeing a round, bright white light moving slowly but faster than a star or planet. The object made no sound and flashed out abruptly. Its intensity varied while in sight. The observation lasted about half an hour. The witness reported the object moving westerly.
