Summary

On November 9, 1957, a civilian near Shreveport, Louisiana reported three white, brightly lighted objects with green flashing lights in close formation. One seemed to be towing an object. One went north, one went south, and one disappeared. A witness was a schoolteacher from St. Augustine, Texas.

Radar stations tracked aircraft in the area. A refueling mission was noted nearby, and a flight of three aircraft appeared at about the same location and time. Radar showed several aircraft in the vicinity, and three radar tracks were lost and never picked up again.

The Air Force concluded the objects were aircraft. The record said everything in the description pointed to aircraft, and that radar reports and other reports confirmed aircraft were in the area. This case is part of Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports.
