Summary

On August 1, 1959, at about 1948Z, southeast of Madrid, Spain, an observer reported a bright object. The sighting was reported through the Air Force's unidentified flying object record system.

The witness described a yellow-green object about the size of a baseball, with the look of a balled fist, about 70 to 80 centimeters long. It followed a straight path with no maneuvers. It gave off pulse emissions that lasted about one second, with no explosion.

The record card concluded the observation had all the characteristics of a fireball.
