Summary

On March 28, 1950, at 2:30 p.m., a military observer returning from the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile noticed numerous people looking at the sky. The observer went to the roof of the Embassy building and saw one object traveling south to north at an extreme rate of speed. It appeared more white than other colors. The observer watched the object move about 30 degrees across the sky in 5 to 10 seconds, then returned to get a camera with telephoto lens. When the observer returned to the roof, the object was gone. The Air Force concluded the sighting was unidentified.

Observer did not stop to look or talk to anyone until he arrived at the US Embassy were he went straight to the 9th floor. I looked out and seen nothing, than went to the roof of the building were looked at object with BX. Object was moving in a straight line at an extreme rate of speed. It appeared to be more white than other color. Observer went inside of building to get a camera to take a picture of the object and when he returned the object was gone.
