Summary

On April 5, 1962, an air crew near San Juan, Puerto Rico, reported what appeared to be a green flare about 20 miles north-northeast of San Juan. About the same time, a military transport crew reported what looked like a green meteorite to the north (about 19-13N 67-39W). The Air Force noted the two sightings were probably related and had the characteristics of a meteor observation. The record card concluded the sighting was a meteor.
