Insufficient Data

Summary

On May 20, 1960, several observers in Rhodesia saw an object in the sky, including staff from the Civil Aviation Department. The object was seen as a point of light only.

The object was round and greenish. The witnesses compared its size to a tennis ball. It was reported traveling very fast, with an estimate of about 3,000 miles per hour. The report noted the information was very limited.

This report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. Because the information was so limited, the Air Force reached no positive conclusion, and the card noted the object was probably a fireball.
