Summary

On August 1, 1962, near Perrin, Texas, a witness observed an unidentified object with the naked eye. The object appeared square or rectangular, approximately 120 power Barlow Lens in size, with a yellow color and two traveling sides by side. The brightness matched the second magnitude star. The formation remained unchanged, no vary, and the course remained unchanged. The observation lasted 8 minutes heading west. Conditions on dusk toward west were noted. Initial observations considered misidentification of normal aircraft sightings. Flight characteristics and formation considerations with this analysis were evaluated as aircraft sightings.
