Summary

On February 7, 1950, two separate sightings were reported to the Air Force. In Palo Alto, California, a female attorney reported observing a fiery tail object at 5:50 p.m. moving slowly and gaining altitude at a heading of 225 degrees. In Alameda, California, two male civilians reported seeing a bright silver conical object 18 feet in diameter at 5:30 p.m. The object hovered, moved to a new position, and hovered again while changing from a perpendicular to a horizontal position. It was observed for 10 minutes and was described as looking like an ice cream cone. The objects were moving at 60 to 70 miles per hour at altitudes between 2500 and 5000 feet. No Air Force evaluation is stated on the pages provided.
