Summary

On May 24, 1960, witnesses in Orlando, Florida, saw a round object in the sky. The card lists one object seen as a light.

The object looked round and star-like and was white. It first appeared at about 270 degrees azimuth and 60 degrees elevation. It disappeared at about 40 degrees elevation on a heading of about 285 degrees. The object moved at a constant speed.

This report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force said the object could not have been a satellite because of its direction of flight, and noted it was possibly a high flying aircraft.
