Summary

On September 15, 1952, at 0945 hours (9:45 a.m.), a person at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts reported a white circular object of light in the sky over western Illinois. The object was oval in shape. It was observed at a high altitude near location AM 1115 by residents of Netonset, Illinois. Both observations were made visually. The 755th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron in Williams Bay, Wisconsin investigated the report and found no radar contact or aircraft in the area at the time. Weather at Otis AFB showed broken clouds at 25,000 feet and excellent visibility. An official evaluation was not determined from the available pages.
