Summary

In October 1960, six students in Kerrville, Texas spotted an unusual object in the sky. The object appeared as a self-luminous ball with a pastel green color. It was first seen at a low angle above the horizon and moved across about 20 degrees of sky. The witnesses reported no sound and made no mention of a tail.

The sighting was brief, lasting only a few seconds. Based on the description, Air Force investigators noted that the object was probably a meteor. No photographs were taken of the sighting, and no additional investigation by the Air Force office handling the case was deemed necessary.
