Summary

On May 17, 1950, a 13-year-old boy in Kenosha, Wisconsin reported sighting a bright light at 8:30 p.m. The light was between 10,000 and 15,000 feet altitude and moved in a direct arc from north to south. The witness saw it simultaneously with a friend. Weather was slightly cloudy with winds of 3 to 4 miles per hour from the north. The light stopped on the southern horizon and then moved again in a southeasterly direction. There were no flashes or exhaust gases. The light continued for five to ten minutes. The witness was 13 years old. The case file does not contain a clearly legible Air Force evaluation or conclusion.
