Summary
On June 29, 1950, near Dowagiac, Michigan, a farmer reported watching a flying saucer come out of a military plane. The man, John Keller, was riding a tractor in a hay field when he saw the event about a quarter mile away. His two young sons were with him.
Keller said a low flying Army transport plane was heading southwest at about 300 feet. He said a saucer shaped object, like a giant automobile hub cap, came out of the belly of the plane. He described it as about 25 feet across and 12 to 15 feet thick. He said it wobbled, then shot away to the south very fast and was out of sight in five seconds.
The top looked like chrome with a small dome, and the bottom was dull grey. Keller told a local newspaper, and the report reached the Army. The Air Force record card lists the conclusion as unidentified.
