Summary

On September 27, 1956, a civilian near Craig, Colorado reported about fourteen lights arranged in a string. The lights were uniform in spacing and looked like a row of cabin lights on a modern passenger aircraft. The objects moved from north to southeast and were watched for about ten minutes.

The Air Force contacted an airline and found that its flights passed over Craig on the route from Salt Lake City to Denver, with a flight leaving Salt Lake City at about 6:05 p.m. The description and duration matched. The Air Force concluded the sighting was caused by an aircraft.
