Summary

On April 22, 1949, a civilian near Cliff, New Mexico watched a single aluminum-colored object move across the sky. The witness described it as round, flat, and shaped like a thin disc. It was heading east and stayed in view for about two minutes before it disappeared behind some mountains. The report was filed on a Project 10073 record card, the form the U.S. Air Force used to log reports of unidentified flying objects. After reviewing the description, the Air Force concluded that the object was an aircraft.
