Summary

On October 28, 1951, near Buena Vista, Colorado, a witness reported a single object in the sky. The sighting lasted about 30 seconds. The object was a greenish-blue light moving from north toward the south. Its speed was not estimated.

The object appeared to follow a descending curve at about a 20 degree angle. After it passed, there appeared to be a glowing tail that changed to a whitish color. The Air Force evaluated the case as a meteor.
