Summary

On April 2, 1952, near Bryan, Texas, Air Force pilots reported a large fireball. The sighting lasted about 5 to 15 seconds. The object was fire colored and circular with a tail. The ball of fire was described as about one-third the size of the full moon, and two small tails appeared to drop off.

The object was one of several fireball reports in the region that night. The Air Force evaluated the case as probably astronomical, a meteor.
