Summary
On July 1, 1948, a bright yellow-white light was sighted near Gahanna, Ohio. The object moved slowly in the sky and was visible for two or three seconds. Witnesses described it as moving at a terrific rate of speed. The investigator noted that a bright moon was reported at the time of sighting, even though the moon had not yet risen at the stated hour of observation. The object was probably a bright, slow-moving meteor.
