Summary

On April 6, 1952, at about 1959 (7:59 p.m.) local time, a civilian near Miller-Graughan Air Force Base in Temple, Texas, reported an object for about 3 minutes. The object was grayish white and disc shaped, appearing in a circular formation that covered about the space of the full moon.

The object was first seen at about 30 to 40 degrees of elevation and moved down to about 5 degrees. The record notes that 2100 (9:00 p.m.) was a balloon launch time, but no known balloons were in the area at the time of the sighting. The Air Force evaluated the case as probably a balloon.
