Summary

On June 11, 1961, at 12:12 a.m., a UFO of first magnitude brilliance was sighted near Formosa. The object moved at an estimated orbital speed in an approximate north to south direction. It was initially sighted at bearing 280 degrees true, elevation 68 degrees. The object ended at bearing 172 degrees true, elevation 25 degrees. The sighting was reported to the U.S. Air Force and distributed to various intelligence offices.
