Project Blue Book Case File
[ILLEGIBLE], [ILLEGIBLE] - Incident Number: [ILLEGIBLE]Date unknown
Summary
On July 27, 1952, between about 1500 and 1700 (3:00 to 5:00 p.m.), a man reported seeing two objects over Triton Beach, Maryland. He called the FBI, which passed the information to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. The FBI said it was not investigating, since the matter was outside its jurisdiction.
The witness said the two objects flew from west to east on a straight course, made a turn, returned to their original course, and disappeared. One object was so high he could only say it left a vapor trail. The other was low enough to look circular in shape.
The file also includes a separate report from the same night, July 27 to 28, 1952. A woman in Arlington, Virginia, reported a white light over the Pentagon between 2000 (8:00 p.m.) and 0200 (2:00 a.m.). She said the light hovered over the Pentagon, made a direct descent toward it, stopped, and veered off. She could only describe it as a white light. The documents record the reports but give no Air Force conclusion.
