Summary

On August 24, 1948, at Godman Air Force Base in Kentucky, AF Personnel observed a circular object with a silver color and slow movement. The object was sighted at 11:30 a.m. to 12:42 p.m. EST and remained at an altitude of 20,000 to 40,000 feet. One witness reported the sighting. The direction was southeast. The Air Force evaluation determined the object was definitely identifiable as Venus by theodolite readings.
