Summary

On March 11, 1951, near Biggs Air Force Base, Texas, a Military Air Transport Service crew reported a strange object at about 2200 (10:00 p.m.) while flying at 30,000 feet. The crew described a half-moon shaped white object about the size of a 25-cent piece held at arm's length. Its course was from south to west.

The report was received by Air Force wire, and no case file was kept beyond the record card. The Air Force recorded the case in Project 10073, its official file for unidentified flying object reports. The conclusion was the astronomical body Venus.
