Summary

On July 11, 1955, near Big Foot, Texas, six civilian observers reported one object for about three hours. The sighting was seen from the ground.

The object was round and silvery-white and appeared to have streamers coming from it. It flew a straight, level path to the west. It was described as about the size of a quarter held at arm's length.

The Air Force card lists the conclusion as probably balloon. The comments say the object's description, the long duration, and the winds aloft at the time all point to a balloon. The report was forwarded from a Texas air base for evaluation.
