Northeastern United States·October, 2024

Declassified

Editorial summary

This FBI FD-1057 documents an October 2024 interview with a U.S. person about repeated sightings in the northeastern United States over the prior three years. The person said his first sighting was around 5 a.m. in 2021, when a single light split into two or three forming a triangular pattern that lasted about ten minutes. He described lights at his property that appear to morph and move, typically at dusk or night, and said recordings often come out corrupted. He told agents he used flight-tracking ADSB data to rule out aircraft and recounted a separate 1996 incident in New Mexico in which a vehicle's electronics shut down under a bright light.
